No phone, no problem.

FlowState runs in any modern browser, on any device: a phone, the back-office computer, the tablet by the schedule board. Go to flowstateqsr.com and sign in and you have the full product, nothing installed. On a phone, your browser will offer to add it to the home screen, where it opens and behaves like the installed app.

Installing on Android

Android asks your permission once before installing an app you downloaded yourself. That prompt is normal, and it is asking whether you trust us. Here is the whole thing, start to finish:

Tap Download for Android above, on the phone you want it on. Chrome may say the file "can harm your device". That message appears for every file of this type. Tap Download anyway.
Open the file when it finishes. Tap the download notification, or open Files → Downloads and tap it there.
Allow this one source. Android will offer a Settings button. Turn on Allow from this source, then press back. You only do this once, and only for the app you used to download it.
Tap Install, then Open. Sign in with your store number, your username, and the password your leader gave you.

Why does my phone warn me?

Android shows that message for any app you install yourself. It has not found anything wrong with this one, and it is not telling you something is broken.

This is the real FlowState app. Same app that is on iPhone, from us, the same version your leaders are using.
Your phone can tell it is really from us. We put a seal on the file when we build it. Your phone checks that seal while it installs, and from then on it will refuse anything claiming to be FlowState that does not carry the same seal. So nobody can slip you a fake one later.
Only get it from this page. flowstateqsr.com is us. If you ever see FlowState offered somewhere else, do not install it.

What you are downloading

That last line is a fingerprint of the file. If you know how to check one, you can confirm the file you got is exactly the one we published. If that means nothing to you, you can ignore it.

If something goes wrong

"Install blocked" or "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps"

That is step 3. Tap Settings in that dialog, turn on Allow from this source for the app you downloaded with (usually Chrome or Files), then press back and tap Install again.

"App not installed"

Almost always an older copy that was installed from a different file. Uninstall FlowState QSR, then install this one. Your data is on our servers, not on the phone, so nothing is lost.

I can't find the file after downloading

Open the Files app, then Downloads. It is named FlowStateQSR.apk.

Does it update itself?

The app tells you when a new version is ready and brings you back to this page to get it. Install it over the top: your sign-in and everything in the app stay exactly as they were. Anyone using FlowState in a browser is always on the newest version automatically.

Which Android phones does it run on?

Android 7.0 and newer, which covers essentially every phone still receiving updates.
